Different place, different person?

Ever seen the same person become quite a different person!?

It happens all the time in sport, because where people are, and what we put around them always influences what they think, what they feel, and how they behave.

In a big way…

𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 ‘𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫’ 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐝 - "𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐬".

And it's the same in sports, the environments we place people in will decide how they feel when they are there, what they say after they leave, and if they will come back again... or not.

𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵.

𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦, 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘧𝘶𝘭.

But not just the venues, it's the people and the spaces within it, the online platforms you use around it, and how you turn up on them. This will be the biggest influence how they will interact with you when they are on it.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭?

Because environments, the people and the things around people have a huge influence on what people think and feel, and how they act, with the same person acting or feeling differently depending on where they are.

And so, the locations, platforms, places, and spaces you provide for people, will heavily influence whether they they want to show up, what they feel when they are in that space, and, if they want to come back again.
